Liberal frontbencher CHRISTOPHER PYNE has dismissed talk that TONY ABBOTT's "shit happens"

comments .. relating to the death of a digger in Afghanistan .. mean he's unfit to lead
Australia.

The opposition leader became embroiled in a media storm last night after the Seven
Network aired footage of him discussing the circumstances which led to the August death
of Lance Corporal JARED MacKINNEY.

Mr ABBOTT .. visiting Tarin Kowt two months later .. said "it's pretty obvious that,
well, sometimes shit happens, doesn't it".
